History
Kris, Jon, and Jenny first met in 2002. Jon was playing with another guitarist and singer at the time and they were in desperate need of a basSist and Drummer to complete the band. The music was so captivating upon the first visit that Kris and Jenny ran to a nearby friend's house to get a bass and drum kit. The rest waS history.Some months after that initial meeting a clash of ideology, musical preference, and creative direction arose. There were departures and schisms, leaving Jon, Kris, and Jenny without vocals, but a plethora of desire. They more than compensated and now part of the attraction is the complete cooperation in songwriting, vocal stylings, and on stage camaraderie.
Early into 2004 the scabs had to undergo another transformation due some legal nastiness with some other band called the scabs from texas...and the Jane Rutmans were born.
The ScabS/the Jane Rutmans have played: The Triple Rock Social Club, 7th Street Entry/1st Avenue, Big V’s, the House of Thrash, Boomer’s, Cosmic’S Coffee, and the Babylon (R.I.P.).
